DID YOU KNOW?

Sami Salo's reputation isn't exactly that of the Man of Steel but if he is unable to play in tonight's contest as expected, it would mark just the eighth playoff game he has missed as a Canuck.

Since being dealt from Ottawa to Vancouver to begin the 2002.03 season, Salo has played in 47 of the Canucks' 54 playoff contests from 2003 to present. In fact, those seven playoff games missed with the Canucks are the only seven career playoff games he has been forced to sit out. During his four season spent with the Senators, Salo appeared in all 26 post-season contests Ottawa played in from 1999 to 2002.

Vancouver's all-time record in the seven playoff games Salo has sat out is 3-4. In the 2009 playoffs, the Canucks won two of their three post-season games with Salo out of the lineup.

During the 2009.10 regular season, the Canucks went 9-4-1 with Salo out of the lineup.
